Happy 1st Birthday Bentley

You were our little Christmas gift last year being born just three days before Christmas and coming home on Christmas Eve. The most awesome Christmas gift ever.
Here you are turning one already!
It is amazing to see you so close to walking on your own.

Bentley doesn't sit in one spot for very long before he is off and moving again whether it is crawling, walking with his walker, or cruising around the house.

By the end of last month, Bentley surprised me and started climbing up the stairs. Since then climbing up and backing down the stairs safely is something that I have been working on with Bentley. He is doing an awesome job!

Bentley loves to make us laugh and delights in watching his older brother act silly as well.

One of Bentley's favorite games is pick-a- boo. It is so adorable to watch Bentley's little hands go up over his eyes and then see him pull them back to reveal those precious sparkling eyes appear

Bentley has fun giving us squinty eyed smiles (just as Daddy has always done to him) for a good laugh.

When I place Bentley in his crib to sleep he loves to race to the opposite end of his crib giggling all the way while I chase after him exclaiming "Where are you going Bentley? Then shower him with loves and kisses.

Bentley mowed down most of his first individual Birthday cake.

Bentley's motivation to walk is greatly inspired by seeing Dalton walking along side him with the other walker. It is so fun to watch them laugh as they race back and forth.

I love to watch Bentley and Dalton have fun laughing, playing, and rolling around on the floor together.Our two boys always want to play whatever they can together.

Bentley loves to play with anything that has wheels. He definately favors tractors , bulldozers trucks or any other automobile over stuffed animals. I figured this was so but it became very obvious when Bentley barely noticed the big and little bears we gave him but loved the tractor. It is so fun to watch and listen to him play with any of the equitement because he often makes a motor noise vibrating his lips.
It is amazing how much Bentley can eat. He many times passes up Dalton in the amount that he eats at meal times. Kevin and I always agree we don't know where he puts it all. Even though it seems he is growing so fast he is average height of 30 in. and weight of 21.5lbs for his age.

It is amazing how fast this last year has gone. You are growing so quickly and a delight to your Mommy , Daddy, and brother Dalton. What a tremendous joy you are to our our family. I love watching you initiate little games of pic-a-boo and making funny faces. It warms my heart to see you lean over and give Dalton a kiss on his forhead. What a tremendous blessing to watch you and Dalton roll around and giggle on the floor together. You a such a sweet boy, Bentley! I am so priveleged to be yours and Dalton's Mommy. We are very proud of you!
